I wish I could say “the MLM Business plan that made me $2500″ but I can’t. Like many newbies I listened to the “good” advice of my sponsor and it turned out… Badly.
I got the false impression that the best way to build my MLM business online was to do everything myself. I created my own websites, I wrote all my own sales copy, and I thought I was doing the best thing I could.
I wasn’t.
I first tried article marketing. the basic idea is to write articles and submit them to online article directories. Some people have built great business with article marketing, but I was a newbie and my articles were terrible (to say the least).
Next I tried getting a website ranked in the Google search results to get vistors. I had some success with that, but my salesmanship skills were severely lacking. Even though I got visitors, none of them were interested.
It was at this point that I started thinking: I’d been doing this for 16 months and spent $2500, but had only collected 14 leads and hadn’t made a dime.
That’s when I realized my MLM business plan sucked
Right about then, I watched a free presentation talking about the importance of using systems in your MLM business. Specifically it was talking about copying the systems of successful people until you learned enough to create your own.
That made perfect sense to me.
The horrible thing was that I had been paying for a marketing system that did everything I needed for almost the entire 16 months. Feeling more than a little dumb, I finally started using the system the way it was intended.
The result: 18 leads in 11 days. Okay, it’s not amazing, but when you compare it to 15 leads in 16 months (plus $2500 wasted), I was in heaven.
So there: I tried doing everything from scratch, spent $2500 and only collected 14 leads in 16 months. Then I tried a system and got 18 leads in 11 days.
That made me a Very happy camper.
P.S. You can click here to find the system I used. You might like it, you might not. It worked for me though.
